It is an honor to share with you that Keynote message by Doug McMillon, President and CEO of Walmart and Chairman of the Business Roundtable (BR) titled THE POWER OF TRADE, will be presented on Monday May 31st during the 4th edition of the Trade with Africa Business Summit.

20+ Speakers from around the world will share the virtual stage including H.E. Ambassador Albert Muchanga who will deliver keynote address on: “The Clarion Call to Accelerate Economic Recovery for Africa Post-Covid”.

Ambassador Albert Mudenda Muchanga is African Union (AU) Commissioner for Economic Development, Trade, Industry and Mining. In addition to these broad areas, his portfolio also covers: tourism, investment, innovation, entrepreneurship, economic integration, economic policies and research, statistics and oil and gas.

He is formerly Commissioner for Trade and Industry. In this position, he provided strategic leadership in facilitating negotiation, conclusion and ratification of the Agreement Establishing the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), which entered into force on 30th May 2019 and whose start of trading was launched on 1st January, 2021.

In addition, Ambassador Muchanga provided similar leadership on matters of trade, industrialization, mining and customs cooperation. He mobilized the African private sector to play a greater role in the AfCFTA, culminating in the establishment of the African Business Council, Pan-African Manufacturers Association and Association of Chambers of Mines and other Mining Associations in Africa.

This event offers an immersive experience and a front row sit to leaders who wish to learn best practices from our 20+ speakers, access government resources, network with attendees and explore business, trade and investment opportunities across sectors including Agriculture, Retail, Manufacturing, Technology, Export, Infrastructure Development and more.

The Trade with Africa Business Summit is “private sector-led and policy-supported” and serves as an effective platform for the promotion of public – private sector engagement, trade and investment promotion and forum for facilitating business and investment partnerships.
