CAIRO, (The Southern African Times) – Firms from Egypt and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) signed on Monday a deal to manufacture natural gas and diesel-fueled pickup vehicles, Egypt’s Ministry of State for Military Production said in a statement.
“The deal is part of Egypt’s 2030 vision to localize modern industries and create professional technical cadres,” it said, adding that it will be the first time in Egypt to manufacture that kind of vehicle.
Egyptian Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Ahmed Morsi and Trade and Industry Minister Niveen Gamea attended the ceremony for signing the agreement between the National Authority for Military Production and the UAE’s Glory sides.
The two sides agreed to establish an Egyptian-UAE Company for Manufacturing Cars with the purpose of producing and marketing a vehicle, carrying the name of EM in different modes, it said.
