The Southern African Times have set up a new jobs board SATJOBS to serve our news website markets. The site can be easily accessed through the SAT JOBs tab from the official news site. SAT’s digital development team is set to launch the SATJOBS website early next month to modernise its online offering in the competitive digital jobs marketplace.
The new platform will allow recruiters to take advantage of powerful job board technology and reach wider audiences at competitive rates.
“We know our job board platform delivers a return on investment and we are looking forward to seeing The Southern African Times benefit from the opportunity to grow their digital recruitment revenue.” Said lead Kudzai Shumba the Global Partnerships VP.
Whilst SATJOBS will deliver traditional job posting products, it will offer clients and partners the option to buy, advertise and optimise their job adverts based on performance. The team’s first year target is to attract 4.3 million unique job seekers every month. To attain this they will give clients access to the latest technology and reach engaged audiences in a cost-effective way.
SATJOBS is a division of The Southern African Times that aims to connect the African labour market to employers within Africa and beyond. In the context of a booming youth population and a decade of sustained economic growth, SAT JOBS seeks to solve the current challenges faced by Africa’s job market by being candidate led.
Africa’s current employment is expanding by less than2% a year, far below the nearly 3% annual growth of the labour force. By 2030, it is expected that 30 million youth will be entering the African labour market each year. In sub-Saharan Africa alone, while 18 million jobs need to be created annually to absorb new entries in the labour market, only 3 million formal jobs are currently being created. It is estimated however that only 4% of new entrants between 2010 and 2020 have been able to find waged work in industry, and 21% in services.
SATJOBS seeks to connect African employers as well as global entities looking to meet their labour force requirements to a highly skilled candidate market. Join us today to discover the unending opportunities in the motherland.
