Australia: Victoria shut-down imminent – Premier

The state of Victoria and New South wales in Australia have cabinet meetings tonight to discuss a total shutdown of all non-essential services to contain the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Prime minister tonight issued a statement that has shaken most industries and employees around Victoria , wondering whether to report for duty tomorrow morning or not. Melbourne and Sydney have been heavily affected but certain sectors of the economy have remained operating at full capacity.

the Victorian government is looking as drastically reducing the spread of the virus to avoid crowding in the hospitals if things are not managed well. so far 107 people have tested positive for the Virus in Australia and 48% of those cases are in New South Wales alone, wit Victoria following closely behind. In Victoria, two school shad to close after two students tested positive for the Virus
